Extra Life Charity Event - Help make a Difference

Image
Being a gamer, and wanting to help those less fortunate than I have been, I decided to find a mix of the two. Extra-Life allowed me to do just that.  On October 25, 2014, I'll be participating in this huge worldwide celebration of the social impact of gamers of all kinds from video games to board games and tabletop RPG's! It's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support my efforts with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to Cincinnati Childrens Hospital. For 24 hours straight, we will embark on a gaming journey and will be streaming the event, for all to enjoy.  I am also working on setting up a tier system, based on the donations I receive. Im still working out those details, so stand by for that.  Remember though, this is essentially for the kids. Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids. Click here to sponsor me. You can donate as much as you can from $1 to $1337.00 all proc

Video Games can be a Spiritual Experience

A touching story appeared today on Yahoo! that I thought I would share here. Per Yahoo!: Losing a parent at just six years of age is unimaginable. You may vaguely remember some of the wonderful memories from that brief time spent together, but the pain surely never goes away. I imagine you cling to those memories dearly, grasping hold of them and praying that over time you won't forget. For one teenage YouTube commenter ( 00WARTHERAPY00 ) that scenario is real. And in the comments section  of a piece about whether video games can be a spiritual experience, he told his touching story: Well, when i was 4, my dad bought a trusty XBox. you know, the first, ruggedy, blocky one from 2001. we had tons and tons and tons of fun playing all kinds of games together - until he died, when i was just 6. i couldnt touch that console for 10 years. but once i did, i noticed something. we used to play a racing game, Rally Sports Challenge. actually pretty awesome for the time it came. a

Assassin's Creed Comet Discussion

Image
With no official word about an Assassins Creed game for the 360/PS3 players yet, even though Ubisoft has commented that they recognize the amount of gamers still on last gen software and hope to announce something soon. So we are left to wonder when we will get any information about code name Comet, or will this be another Titanfall 360, where we never see a thing until after release. Discuss here at the forums....
