Microsoft speaks on Orth's "Alway's On" Rampage

Image
So yesterday's outburst by a Microsoft Employee had people like us worried about the new Xbox's "Always-on" rumored feature. So today Microsoft speaks out via(Major Nelson) "We apologize for the inappropriate comments made by an employee on Twitter yesterday," the response reads. "This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views do not reflect the customer centric approach we take to our products or how we would communicate directly with our loyal consumers." "We are very sorry if this offended anyone, however we have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter."

Looks like that **Always Connected** Rumor may just be legit

Image
After doing some more research on my last post, I have found that the Creative Director at Microsoft Studio's in question was one Adam Orth. The guy, from what I have read, had a complete meltdown on Twitter (@adam_orth) Since his breakdown, he has set his Twitter feed to private, but the damage has been done and screen captures taken. When the next Xbox is shown and this  a reality (like it looks like it is), I'm out... Hello PS4

***Rumor***Microsoft creative director tells Consumers to "Deal with it", referring to Always On NexBox

Image
This is an Internet rumor running around Reddit at the moment, so take this at face value, but supposedly a creative director for the next XBOX when asked about the always on Internet connection requirement rumor running around, answered that consumers should "deal with it". If it comes out that this is true, I will not be getting the new xbox at all, unless I find it for dirt cheap or require it in a trade. I live in a rural area of Kentucky, where your internet connection can drop with a sudden wind gust, or if a bird sets on a phone line. This would ruin gaming for me and others also. Hoping and praying that this isn't true.

PS4 Graphics still look worse than PC

Image
With the PS4 hardware in the hands of developers, we are starting to see how it really compares with top notch PCs.The latest Unreal Engine 4 demo gives us a chance to see a side-by-side of the two together. While the PS4 looks good, it is alarming how much better the graphics for PC really are. The real failure for the PS4 version is the lack of Global Illumination (GI). GI simulates realistic lighting and how the light bounces off objects and the scenery really gives it a feeling of reality. The PC demo was running on an Nvidia GTX 680 which usually retails in the $500 - $700 price range. The PS4 alone, is rumored to cost $400. So its unrealistic for it perform equally or better than an PC. Light particle effects and dynamic lighting take large of hardware to run, and the PS4 isn't built to handle them like high end machines. While the PS4 Dev tools are still in their infancy, games for the system will continue to look better and better. Compare the release titles of

NEW NEXUS 7 IN JULY?

Image
Sources say that Google plans on selling at least eight million next-gen tablets, which will run on Qualcomm Inc's Snapdragon processor.                 Aside from the new processor (the current Nexus 7 has an Nvidia chip), there are scant details about the new tablet: a higher resolution screen and a smaller bezel are the only things mentioned in the Reuters piece. So they're saying maybe a $199 price tag. Irate Drake should have held off a little longer but maybe your model will go cheaper so I can get it.
